Through engaging content, campaigns and experiences, LOVERACING.NZ brings the thrill of racing to life, showcasing everything from elite race days to the behind‑the‑scenes moments that make the sport unique. It plays a key role in growing awareness, participation and emotional connection with thoroughbred racing across New Zealand.

LOVERACING.NZ is the marketing and promotional arm of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing (NZTR), the governing and regulatory authority for the sport. NZTR oversees all aspects of the industry, including licensing, registrations, the national race calendar, race promotion, and the wellbeing of people and horses.

Together, LOVERACING.NZ and NZTR are focused on ensuring thoroughbred racing remains vibrant, relevant and sustainable for generations to come.

We're looking for a talented and creative Content Creator to join our team and help bring the stories of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing to life through engaging video, graphic and digital content.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on storytelling, enjoys creating content across multiple formats, and wants to work in a unique and vibrant industry.

About the Role

As a Content Creator, you'll play a key role in creating engaging content for LOVERACING.NZ's digital platforms. You'll be involved in every stage of the creative process, from filming and editing content through to designing graphics and supporting digital campaigns.

Whether you're capturing raceday action, producing social media videos, designing graphics, or uncovering compelling stories from across the industry, your work will help grow and engage our audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shoot and edit engaging video content for social media and digital platforms
  • Create social-first content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other channels
  • Design graphics for social media, marketing campaigns and promotional content
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content, interviews and raceday coverage
  • Contribute creative ideas and support content planning and campaign execution
  • Ensure all content aligns with the LOVERACING.NZ brand and storytelling style
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality output
  • Travel to racedays and events as required

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years' experience in content creation, videography, video editing, graphic design, or a similar creative role
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience creating engaging content for social media platforms
  • A strong eye for design and visual storytelling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
  • Experience operating professional camera equipment is desirable but not essential
  • An interest in sport, entertainment or racing would be advantageous

Employment Details

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, with flexibility to occasionally work race meetings and events outside standard hours
  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • Cambridge-based role with a minimum office attendance requirement
  • Travel may be required when attending racedays and industry events
