CPD Portal - Chameleon

New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing (NZTR) is dedicated to supporting ongoing professional development to ensure a safe, skilled, and sustainable industry.

As part of this commitment, certain training courses are mandatory and must be completed in order to work within the New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing industry.

You will be required to complete education modules via the NZTR Learning Portal - Chameleon.

The Learning Portal, hosted on the Chameleon online platform, provides access to both mandatory and optional training modules. It is available on any device, allowing flexible access for all industry participants and employees.

Mandatory courses must be completed to be licensed by NZTR.

2024-2025 SEASON

For the 2024-25 racing season the following courses MUST be completed. If you have not completed the courses prior to renewing for the 2025-26 season a renewal application will not be issued to you.

The courses take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

  • CLASS A TRAINERS: HR and Immigration Module
COMPLETE MODULE

2025-2026 SEASON

For the 2025-26 racing season the following courses MUST be completed. If you have not completed the courses prior to renewing for the 2026-27 season a renewal application will not be issued to you.

  • CLASS A TRAINERS: Equine Welfare Module
  • JOCKEYS (incl. Class A, B, C, D E): Concussion Protocol
  • APPRENTICE EMPLOYERS: Creating a successful working environment

CHAMELEON Learning Portal Guides

The resources below will help you to access Chameleon Learning Portal 

Logging in for the first time

1.  You will be sent a learner invite via email from Chameleon. Please be sure to check your junk folder

2.  You will be asked to create a password. Create a password, tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions and then click accept.

3.  You will now be able to access the modules that are available for you to view. Click on the module you are required to complete. Ensure you complete the entire module.

Login for those who have already created a password

1.  Click on the Chameleon Login access from the NZTR Careers website: careers.loveracing.nz.

2.  Enter your email address and password.

3.  Click on the module you would like to complete.
