The Canterbury Jockey Club seeks a SUITABLY QUALIFIED CARPENTER for a position at the Riccarton Park Racecourse, Christchurch. The position is becoming vacant due to a retirement.

The Canterbury Jockey Club is the principal thoroughbred Racing Club in the South Island and operates the Riccarton Park Function Centre.

The successful applicant will be responsible for

• Carpentry and maintenance on a wide range of buildings and facilities catering for people and horses.
• An understanding of Council by-laws as they affect the facilities and Building Warrant of Fitness.
• Management of the various building service systems such as water, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
• Co-ordination of sub-contractors.
• Pricing of projects.
• Drawing and interpreting building plans.
• Supply own tools preferred. Vehicle provided.
