Auckland Thoroughbred Racing (ATR) has a vacancy for a Gap Keeper/Groundsman based at our Pukekohe Park venue.
An interest in the thoroughbred racing industry is preferable, but not essential.
Training will be provided for the right applicant.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Racecourse Manager, the Gap Attendant is responsible for all aspects of morning trackwork and jump-outs including, record keeping and regulatory adherence by all participants which includes, horse trainers, jockeys and trackwork riders.
The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours, be able to work well under pressure and in a team environment, and possess a positive, proactive and professional approach.
The primary purpose of this position is to monitor morning trackwork to ensure a safe environment for all animals and stakeholders during trackwork at Pukekohe Park Racecourse and ensure adherence to all track regulations at all times.
