Gap Keeper / Groundsman - Cambridge

Waikato Thoroughbred Racing (WTR) has a vacancy for a Gap Keeper/Groundsman based at our Cambridge venue. This role provides a great opportunity to gain knowledge in the upkeep and maintenance of a training, trials and synthetic racing track, and the potential for qualifications in turf management for the right applicant.

An interest in the Thoroughbred Racing industry is preferable but not essential. Training will be provided for the right applicant and hours of work are negotiable.

Some key aspects,

• Works well in a team environment.
• Assisting on Racedays. 
• Enjoys working outside.
• Not essential but preferred previous experience with Tractors and turf machinery
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Be dependable and reliable.
